From 2021 we offer 2 alternative Artist Residences, 1 at the Lighthouse and 1 at Bølgen

The Artist Residence at Utsira Lighthouse was built in 1957, and is former resident of families working at the lighthouse. It has a living room, kitchen, work and showroom, bathroom and 2 bedrooms with 4 beds. The entire Utsira Lighthouse Station is now protected under the cultural heritage Act.

The Artist Residence at Bølgen was built in 2011. It has living room, kitchen, work and showroom, bathroom and 2 bedrooms with 4 beds.
 

Utsira Overnatting rents out the Artist Residence to artists who would like to experience Utsira, and who can document the speed time of CV or belong to an artist organization.

During summer Rogaland County Council offer free rental to artists. They have their own guidelines and application form for a stay in their Artist Residence program. Application deadline is 15. March.
